I am an enthusiastic, assertive and detail-oriented Danish Design Director and Designer, with a strong international background in lifestyle and apparel design. Environmental Responsibility and sustainability are cornerstones in my work and I am deeply committed to being part of moving the apparel industry in an environmentally sound direction.
For the past three years I have been Head of Design at the Danish apparel line Organic Basics. A brand rooted in sustainable practices and certified materials. The decade prior, I lived in the US and worked for Skagen, Levi’s and Andrew Buckler.
I am a brand builder: starting with establishing the brand values, I build a cohesive strategy, look & feel for a brand, that ensures all elements are aligned and reflect the brands values.
As a Designer, I have the experience to see it through from product direction and development to execution. I have a deep understanding of environmentally responsible production and business practices including product certification with GOTS, GRS, RWS.
I lead and inspire Design teams and collaborate with Production, Creative and Marketing to secure that creative and business goals are met. I work equally well with Design teams, executive leadership and with onsite production teams. My approach is highly collaborative. I take my work seriously, but myself less so. I practice an open, direct and respectful dialogue and I trust that encouraging difference of opinions is crucial to great results.
